Property Crowdfunding - A Developer's Experience
Why Use Simple Crowdfunding?
"I cannot speak highly enough about how easy Simple Crowdfunding makes the entire process.
5 stars all the way!" - John Friis.
John Friis MD and Founder of Watermark Homes is both a developer and seasoned investor. He was once a consultant anaesthetist at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals in London and spent 15 memorable years working in the NHS. While he no longer practices medicine, John maintains close links with the medical community. His dynamic, hands-on approach to his business and to managing his team is informed by the skills he acquired working in high-pressure, high-stakes environments over many years. He believes in a transparent, honest, collaborative approach to working with his partners and investors.
John and Lafina Diamandes of Eurekadoc are the people behind the Station Road project that was listed on Simple Crowdfunding. This project, also known as the 'Doctors Project' fully funded in 7 minutes by 28 investors. Pretty impressive considering that was their first crowd raise and working with Simple Crowdfunding.
Both John and Lafina recently shared their candid experiences of crowdfunding at our April Property Crowdfunding Training Day. John has also written two posts about his experience. His 5 core reasons for using Simple Crowdfunding are summarised below:
- Time
- Convenience
- Money
- Security/Risk
- Long-term Play/Butterfly Effect
He then expands his learnings into a further 10 top tips for property crowdfunding. Read the full post HERE. Happy Reading!
